Thank you for your support of yesterday’s fundraiser benefiting MD Anderson Cancer Center.  The kids collected pledges, swam their hearts out, enjoyed the breakfast of champions, and voted on their favorite t-shirt design!  We also continued selling raffle tickets for a weekend getaway to a Sea Lion family’s condo on Orange Beach (this raffle also benefits MD Anderson and the winner will be announced at Divisionals and you do not need to be present to win).

The choice to continue supporting MD Anderson was easy as the Sea Lions have been touched by cancer in an unprecedented way over the years, but especially this year as we currently have two women fighting breast cancer in a team of approximately 140 families.  We owe it to Sally, Laurie, Kim, Moni, Debbie, and others to do all we can to find an end to cancer!

While we raised a solid $1,345 in pledges today, I was hopeful we’d beat last year’s $2,137 – and I know we still can!  We continue to sell raffle tickets, it is not too late to make a donation! There will be a box by the family folders where you can leave your pledge donation starting tomorrow.

Please take a moment to see the thank you letter received from MD Anderson for last year’s donation, I have this in our display case as you walk into the pool area.
