Hello Sea Lions,

We're excited to have nearly 60 swimmers representing the mighty Sea Lions at All Stars and/or Ponderosa this weekend. Thank you for your quick responses to the numerous emails & text messages to help us get our meet entries finalized last Sunday.  It's always a tight timeline after Divisionals and it was great to see some new swimmers qualify too!

Meet Entries

Both Ponderosa and All Stars meet entries are on our website under Swim Meets.  Even if your swimmer did not qualify for Ponderosa, they may be swimming a relay there.  There shouldn't be any surprises but just in case we missed something, please double check to be sure you know which events you are swimming and where!  Some swimmers may have relays at All Stars and Ponderosa.

Timeline

The timeline for each meet is on our website but bear in mind these are estimates.  The two venues are 8 miles apart (16 mins drive depending on traffic).   All Stars is at Klein High School Natatorium 16715 Stuebner Airline, 77379 and Ponderosa is at Klein Oak High School Natatorium 22603 Northcrest Drive, 77389.

Warm Ups

Ponderosa warm ups are 7:50 to 8:10 in lane 1 both days and evening warm ups for finals 4:30 to 5:15.  All Stars warm ups are 8:20 to 8:40 Saturday and 7:40 to 8:00 Sunday with finals warm ups 4:45 to 5:30.

Volunteer Timers

Please check volunteer slots on our website and sign up to help the team.  If you have a swimmer entered in the later events, please sign up for one of the last shifts on Saturday or Sunday.  If this is your first All Stars/Ponderosa experience, we do not have age group parents or check in but would ask everyone to sit together so the coaches can find you!

Finals

All relays are swum as finals but individual events at both meets are swum as prelims with finals each evening.  As soon as the results for an event are finalized during prelims, the finalists plus alternates will be posted and also announced. Swimmers will have 30 minutes after the announcement is made to scratch from finals at the scratch table if they do not intend to return to swim in finals that evening. This is is extremely important!  If you're new and need help, please ask one of the coaches to help.

Payment for Meet Entries

Same as Summer Champs, individual entries are $5 per event and relay entries are paid by the team.  There is a box at practice each day for payment by check or cash or you can give to Kim Kelley or Debbie Hughes this weekend.  Thanks to those who already paid!

Pep Rally Friday

As per previous years, come join Coaches at Fuddruckers on Friday at 6.00 pm for pre All Stars/Ponderosa pep rally.
