Hi Sea Lion families!
Stroke camp is just a few days away and we have a whole lot of unfilled spots for volunteers. We can't have a safe and fun stroke camp week without your help! Please consider volunteering for one of the open shifts. Anyone age 12 and older is allowed to volunteer ... so if you have an older child in your family that would like to earn some volunteer hours, please encourage them to help us out with our younger swimmers. If you would like to volunteer for Stroke Camp, but do not wish to register with the website, please email me at [email protected] and I will add you to the list.

With the start of our swim season fast approaching, now is the time to remind your children of the Sea Lions pride in good sportsmanship! Lets all remember that we swim together as a team and, therefore, need support and encourage each other at all times. For the safety and enjoyment of all of our team members, unruly behavior and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated at our practices or meets. Our discipline policy is outlined on the website under the Redbook tab, please review this yourself and with your children before practices begin. Please contact our team managers, Kim Kelley or Corey Mermis, with any questions or issues.
If your child is planning to attend Stroke camp and you have not yet paid, please do so by the first day of stroke camp. Unfortunately, if we have not received payment by the first day, your child will not be allowed to participate. We will be available to take checks the first day or you can drop off payment to Elizabeth at 5227 Manor Glen Drive. There is a clear box in the umbrella holder on the front porch and you can drop off payment at anytime. We have several families with balances due for swim team registration fees and/or volunteer deposit checks. Please pay for these items as soon as possible. Our policy states that your child will not be allowed to practice after the first day of practice if we have not received these items.
Please sign up for Remind 101 to get text messages about rainy weather, pep rallies, meet info etc. Text @scsealions to 81010 to sign up.
Stroke camp will be a lot of fun, but also a bit cold! Be sure to pack two towels for your swimmers and extra warm clothes for them to put on after practice. We will again be providing hot chocolate for all swimmers at the end of practice for stroke camp.
Mike from The Swim Shops will be at the pool the first day of Stoke Camp if you have not gotten your swim suits yet.
See you soon!
Kim and Corey
