Important information for the week of May 2nd
Hi Sea Lion Families,
We are excited for the first full week of practices! The Red/Black meet is coming up this Saturday morning at 7:00am at the Sand Creek Pool. We look forward to seeing you there! If you have not done so already, contact Elizabeth Green if you will NOT be able to attend this meet to arrange a time for your swimmer to get their seed times. [email protected]

11 and ups: 5:45 - 6:30
Remember that Friday practice is shortened to 30 minutes due to Pep Rallies at 6:00.
Please note these Friday times:
6 and unders: 3:30 to 4:00
7 and 8's: 4:00 to 4:30
9 and 10's: 4:30 to 5:00

We are happy to welcome parents on the pool deck on THURSDAY practice. On all other days please watch from the park, behind the fence. When scheduling please keep in mind that the team is not responsible for children before or after their practice. Please do not drop your child off at the park without an adult to supervise them. Please contact Corey Mermis or Kim Kelley if you have any issues with this policy. We will both be at practices all this week to address any issues.
Coaches are focused on safety in the pool and on the deck. Please remind your children the importance of listening to all of the coaches, team mangers and parent volunteers. Our goal is for each swimmer to get the most out of each practice! Good behavior is essential and will result in stronger, safer swimmers. Our coaches and team managers will not tolerate unsportsmanlike like conduct during practices or meets. We will be enforcing the discipline policy outlined in the Redbook. We will give one warning for behavior and a repeated offense will result in the child sitting out of practice. Please contact Corey Mermis or Kim Kelley if you have any questions about the behavior expectations.
Don't Forget:
Sign up at practice for Pep Rally food by Thursday. Sign up sheets will be posted at sign in table.
Order your 5 and 10 year towels at practice.
RSVP on SUNDAY night for next weeks meet against Fosters Mill/Kings Point.
Include any stroke requests in the "comments" section when you RSVP.
**Wear only solid swim caps or Sea Lion caps** NO US swim team caps or college team caps are allowed per NWAL. Sea Lion team caps are sold in the park on Mondays and at home meets. Same goes for swimsuits – no team affiliation except for Sea Lions! Failure to follow this rule can result in being disqualified from the meet!
Thanks to all parent volunteers who have helped out during stroke camp this past week and those of you that have already volunteered to help this week! We really appreciate your help in keeping the kids safe and happy!
Arf! Arf!
Corey and Kim
