Bear Branch meet info
Howdy Sea Lions!
Visiting team warmup begins at 7:30 am. Visiting team setup is outside the pool fence, on the grassy and wooded areas. There is no setup on greenbelts or in the parking lot.
· Our setup for tents, etc. is outside the fence. The Bears set up their entire team inside the fence, so we have the area outside as long as it is not in the parking lot or on the Greenbelt. There are two gate entrances to the pool.
· Bear Branch has one shallow lane that cannot be used for diving, so you will see only 5 lanes in use. This can’t be helped and will have some effect on the length of the meet, but with our super-fast Sea Lions I’m sure it won’t take too long.
· Bear Branch Concessions has an excellent menu! Breakfast includes coffee, breakfast tacos, donuts, kolaches, and fresh fruit. Lunch included grilled items: hotdogs, hamburgers, sausage on a stick, grilled chicken sandwiches, as well as BBQ sandwiches. Sides include condiments, chips, soda, water, Gatorade, sno-cones, candy, popcorn. Please support our fellow NWAL members as patrons of their concession stand.
· Visiting team warm-ups are at 7:30AM sharp. Participating in warm ups provides your best chance to improve times and avoid DQ’s by practicing proper dives, stroke technique, turns and finishes before your competition heat is on the blocks. This is a new pool for our team to visit, so please encourage your swimmers to participate in warm-ups.
· The Bear Branch Pool is at 3215 Cedar Knolls Dr.
· Parking for both visiting and home teams is along the street, Cedar Knolls. Please watch for No Parking signs, and avoid parking on the spur street Village Falls Ct, or in front of mailboxes. Kingwood Middle School parking lot is a convenient place to park, and is just down the street.
· You can reach the pool from Kingwood Middle School using the greenbelt trails. Map attached. We’re guessing that Cedar Knolls is going to be crowded.
Please, print out your own heat sheet tonight - they will not be for sale tomorrow.
