    Howdy Sea Lions!

Great job this weekend Sea Lions!!

While we may have come out 5 points behind, I'm so proud of all of our swimmers. I saw swimmers dropping time left and right in all of their events. We also didn't retaliate when some of the other swimmers marked on our posters. I'm glad we were able to be good sports and have a fun meet! We'll continue to work on swimming and those DQ numbers will come down, as well as times.

Parents we need your help!  To help make the meets run smoother, please

    1.  RSVP to the meets.  We need to know if you plan to be at the meet.

    2.  Check in by the check in time.  I know it is early but if you do not show up on time, your child will be scratched from relays and individual events.  Meet managers do this to benefit everyone as no one likes heat after heat with empty lanes.  It makes the meet much longer.  Relays will be rearranged with the fastest seed time swimmers of those that have checked in.  If you arrive after relays have been rearranged with the Clerk of Course and the computer volunteers, your child will not be added back in.  It is not fair to remove a swimmer that was on time.

    3.   Tell your coach if you are leaving the meet early.  We need to ensure that the meet runs smoothly and in a time efficient manner.  The coaches and age group parents spend unnecessary time and stress looking for missing swimmers.  And swimmers that do not show up for the end of meet free relays cause disappointment for other relays swimmers and irritate families that have stayed for the relay that their swimmer doesn't get to swim.

Looking forward to this week and our next meet!

Way to go Sea Lions! 6 and under swimmers did an awesome job and we are so proud. We saw some great swims and lots of kiddos dropping time. Let's keep encouraging kids to come to practice so we can really start seeing improvements during the meets. Although everyone did great, there were a few DQ's on freestyle and backstroke. We want to focus on fixing that this week and make sure we are DQ free for next weekend! Can't wait to start Monday.

    Hi Sea Lions!

Great meet this past weekend everyone! We had several kids drop time and I’m so proud of them! I love how they are focused on swimming fast and having fun. Everyone seems much more comfortable in the water, along with having positive mind-sets out of the water which is very impressive. Stroke technique looked better for a lot of swimmers and we will continue fine tuning them for the next meet. Let’s have another great week with lots of team spirit!

Hey Sea lions!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. This was a great meet for all the swimmers! Unfortunately I was unable to be at the meet due to a family obligation. Bear Branch was a good team, and we fought all the way to the end of the meet! It’s always fun to watch a close meet from a coaching perspective. The number of DQs greatly dropped from last week, but we will continue to work on our stroke technique. Let’s keep encouraging our swimmers to continue to give 100% this week at practice, and I look forward to our upcoming meet.

"I am extremely proud of our swimmers this weekend. So many of you had fantastic races and I wanted to let you know I really enjoy it when y'all tell me you dropped time! Looking to this upcoming week, we'll be working heavily on IM exchange turns, as well as our underwater technique. We will also be fine tuning our starts. Keep up the good work everyone!
