    Ways to help your team!

    Sea Lions,

Our old trusty diving blocks are starting to get a bit worn.  You'll see some of the older swimmers put a towel down on the surface of the diving block to get a better start (legal as long as the deck referee says it's okay).  We want to plan on replacing these blocks after this season or next, but the cost of about $12-$13 thousand is going to require us to make some extra efforts for fundraising.  Here are some ways you can help the team:

    1. Eat more chicken on May 22nd!  Our Spirit Night (Actually all day - so breakfast, lunch and dinner) is at Chick-Fil-A on Kingwood Drive on May 22nd with a competition against our opponent that week, The Kings River Kingfish, to see who can raise the most funds.  10% of sales go back to the teams.  The Kingfish are having their Spirit night on the 23rd.  The winner of the competition will be announced at the meet on Saturday May 26 and the losing team's Board President will have to "walk the plank" wearing the opposing team's colored tutu.  Please help me out!

    2.  Make your Amazon purchases using a slightly different web address - https://smile.amazon.com/ and search for the "Sand Creek Sea Lions" as your charity.  Amazon has distributed over $80M to charities using this program and a .5% of your everyday Amazon purchases will go back to the team.  Once you have used the web address once, you really just have to type "smile" into your web browser to get back to it.  There is not a way to checkout through Smile using your mobile phone app, but as a work around you can add items into your cart using the app and then go to the smile address using your web browser to check out.

    3.  Your Grocery rewards program:

If you happen to shop at Randalls or Kroger, we get quarterly checks from each because Sea Lions families have signed up to have their rewards program support their favorite charitable organization:

Randall's:  Fill out the form available at customer service to link your Randalls reward card in-store to Good Neighbor organization # 3855

Kroger:  Link your Kroger Rewards card online to organization # 78173

H-E-B is a great sponsor, donating our bottled water every year, so we support and love H-E-B, but unfortunately H-E-B does not have a rewards program that gives a direct benefit back to the team.  If you are a current H-E-B customer please keep shopping!

    4. Consider making a donation or sponsorship for the team.  We are a 501 (c) 3 qualified organization and would be happy to include your advertising on our equipment.  You'll notice the "Clean Harbors" advertising that has lasted for many years when they graciously donated our team tents. You can contact our VP Kevin Von Eschen through [email protected] to discuss options.

    Thank you!

    Jason Green

    Board President
